Banking on the go just got a whole lot quicker, easier and smarter with the all new BankVic App. 

Available for download on Apple iOS (iOS 8 and above) and Android devices (Android 4.2 and above), the new app includes lots of new and exciting features we just know you'll love.


With the BankVic App, you can:

  • Log in quickly with the choice of 4-9 digit pin, pattern login and Touch ID (for iOS compatible devices). 
  • Easily navigate between screens to make everyday banking more intuative. 
  • Check your account balance, manage transfers and payments, and pay bills with just a few taps. 
  • Activate a new card, change your PIN, or if you've misplaced your card, place a temporary lock on it until you find it or order a replacement. 
  • Locate ATMs and branches
  • View the balance of your favourite account from the home screen without the need to log into the app. 
  • Access a number of useful tools and calculators directly via the app. 
  • View our range of products, services or interest rates and apply on the spot.

Getting the new app is as easy as 1-2-3

  1. Go to your app store and search for 'BankVic'
  2. Click on 'Update' or 'Download' if this is your first time downloading the app. 
  3. Register with your Internet Banking login details, and off you go! 

Important message for Windows phone users

Unfortunately mobile phones running a Windows operating system will not be able to download the new BankVic App. We recommend Windows phone users go to to access mobile web banking.  



The BankVic App offers many of the same features as internet banking so you can feel confident when using the App that your personal information is being protected. You should follow similar security precautions as you do with a personal computer.

The following tips have been designed as a guide to keep your mobile device secure.

  • When you're not using your mobile device, ensure it is locked so no one else can use it or view your private information.
  • Never disclose personal information including your App PIN, Card PIN, account number or internet banking password. Users who don't protect their personal information and accounts may be liable for the costs of any fraudulent activity resulting from their actions.
  • If you lose your mobile device, contact your mobile phone service provider immediately. To disable mobile banking simply log in to internet banking and select mobile banking from the options menu and select 'Disable mobile access'. Contact us to re-establish your access.
  • If you change your mobile number, contact us to update your details.
  • To ensure the safety of your personal and account information, mobile applications should only be downloaded from reputable sources.
  • Install security software for your mobile device.

What is the BankVic App?

The BankVic App is a free user-friendly interface which provides real-time access to banking functionality including live balances, bill payments, and ‘Pay Anyone’ service via a mobile phone or tablet device. The BankVic app provides an accessible and convenient tool for banking on the go.

Do I have to register for Internet banking to use the BankVic App?

Yes, before you can download the App you must first have registered for Internet banking.

Who can download the BankVic App?

Anyone with access to an app store can download the App but you’ll need to be a member of BankVic  and be registered for Internet banking in order to log-in and accept the Terms & Conditions.

Do I need to register for the BankVic App?

Yes, you must be an existing Internet banking user. Simply enter your Internet banking log in details after downloading and opening the app.

Note: the terms and conditions must first be accepted before you can continue.

What accounts can I access with the BankVic App compared to Mobile banking?

All accounts and features available on Mobile banking are available on the BankVic App.

What are the features of the BankVic App?

  • Quick balance display

  • 4-digit passcode, pattern or Touch ID (for iOS compatible devices) login.

If the App PIN is optional with the BankVic App, what are the benefits of having it?

The App PIN,  pattern or Touch ID login (iOS compatible devices) feature offers convenience and time savings as it eliminates the need to enter your username and password to access your banking.

Will the same App PIN work on separate devices?

Yes, the same App PIN can be used for different devices but the BankVic App must be downloaded to each device and registered separately.

How do I close the BankVic App?

After you have logged off from your session (see above question "How do I log off from the App"), you can close the App by following these steps:

iPhone (iOS 7)

  1. After completion of banking, return to the home screen.
  2. Double-click the Home button to launch the multitask screen.
  3. Swipe left or right until you have located the BankVic App.
  4. Swipe the BankVic App's preview UP to close it.

iPhone (iOS 5/6)

  1. After completion of banking return to the home screen.
  2. Double-click the Home button to launch the fast app switcher tray.
  3. Hold down the BankVic App until it jiggles.
  4. Tap the X to close the App.


  1. After completion of your banking, return to the home screen.
  2. Click the Home button once to display main screen.
  3. Hold down the Home button until the multi-tasking window displays.
  4. Swipe the BankVic App preview either right or left to close.

    Note: Some Android phones have a dedicated 'Recent Apps' button which can be used to close the BankVic App.

Does the BankVic App timeout?

For your convenience, our App provides you with an option to display your savings account balance without the need to log in. You can choose to disable this feature in Settings. Our App is secure and requires you to enter your internet banking password if you wish to perform any transactions (eg: funds transfer, bill payments, etc). 

To protect your online security, the session will automatically timeout after a period of inactivity if you forget to log off from your App.

How do I change my App PIN?

The settings€™ feature located on the bottom navigation bar of the app home screen can be used to change your App PIN.

How do I remove the BankVic App?


  1. Press and hold the BankVic App icon on screen until it begins to jiggle.
  2. Tap the X to delete the BankVic App.


  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Application Manager.
  3. Scroll down and select the BankVic App.
  4. Select Uninstall and follow the prompts.

I forgot my App PIN - how do I reset it?

During business hours (8am-7pm, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, Saturday )

Call us on 13 63 73 to reset your App PIN.

Outside of business hours

You can reset your App PIN by first removing the App on your mobile device (see above question "How do I remove the BankVic App?"). After removing the App, you can download a new version of the BankVic App from the app store. This will allow you to re-register for the App using your internet banking password to select a new App PIN.

Note: if you've entered your App PIN incorrectly for 4 times, your online banking account will be locked for security reasons. See next question for how to unlock your account.

Why am I getting a message to contact Service & Sales after attempting to log in?

If you've entered your 4-digit passcode, pattern or Touch ID (for iOS compatible devices) login incorrectly for 4 times, your online banking account will be locked for security reasons. You'll need to call 13 63 73 option 3 during business hours (8am-7pm, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, Saturday) to get it unlocked.

I a€™m having trouble finding the BankVic App using my iPad, how do I find it?

The BankVic App can be downloaded to an iPad, but only as an iPhone app. Please search under the iPhone apps in the iTunes Store.

I'm a new member and/or have just registered for online banking, can I download and start using the App right away?

No. As a new member and/or online banking user, you'll first need to log in to internet banking or mobile banking to change the temporary password you were given. After you'€™ve changed your password, you can download and register the App to start using it.

My partner and I share the same iPad. Can we have a BankVic App for each of us on the same device?

No, only one BankVic App per device is permitted.

Can I use BankVic App while I a€™m overseas?

Yes, the BankVic App can be used overseas provided the device is connected to the Internet. Please remember, whilst overseas you may be charged for your device use by your telecommunication provider.

What mobile operating systems is the BankVic App compatible with?

The BankVic App will run on the majority of mobile smartphone devices as long as they’re supported by any of the following operating systems:

  • Apple - iOS 5 and above
  • Google - Android 2.2 and above
  • Microsoft - Windows Mobile 7 and above.

Can I register more than one App?

Yes. Up to eight devices can be registered for each member. Once this limit is reached you must contact Service & Sales on 13 63 73 and a staff member will be able to deregister any unused devices.

Can I pay a bill using the BankVic App?

Yes, a BPAY button is available on the welcome screen.

Simply call Service & Sales during business hours on 13 63 73 and the App can be de-registered.
