Touch ID is here for iOS!

We’re pleased to announce that we have introduced Touch ID capabilities for iOS, compatible with iPhone 6 and above.

If you have an iPhone with Touch ID enabled, it is now easier and faster for you to log in to the BankVic App using just your fingerprint.

Touch ID offers a more secure way for you to access the BankVic App by using your fingerprint instead of your pin or pattern. Your fingerprint is unique to you and you’ll never forget it!

Please note, that for iPhone X users your device will default to using Face ID rather than Touch ID. 

IMPORTANT: For security, please ensure that you are the only one who has their fingerprint stored on your device.

You can enable Touch ID on the app by following these simple steps.

  1. Update the BankVic app to the latest version via the App Store
  2. Make sure you have TouchID enabled on your device and your fingerprints are stored. If you are unsure, check your iPhone's settings.
  3. Open the app, then tap the orange ‘Account Balance’ button on your home screen
  4. Log in using your existing password.
  5. Tap the menu button in the top left of your screen
  6. "Tap settings"

  7. "Select change login authentication"

  8. Select "Touch ID" as your preferred lock method

  9. If you are sure you are the only person whose fingerprints are stored on your device select proceed
  10. Verify your fingerprint
  11. You have now set up touch ID login
