Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you will join the Risk & Compliance team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract to support the simplification and streamlining of BankVic’s policies and procedures. This role will ensure that the organisation is compliant with the relevant management systems, codes of practice and governing bodies that regulate financial institutions. You will be responsible for reviewing and drafting policies and procedures to ensure they are streamlined, fit-for-purpose and adhere to regulatory requirements, creating and managing workflow for policy review, undertaking gap analysis across the Policy and Procedures Framework while managing timeframes and stakeholders within the review process.
Analytically minded, you’re a ‘solutions-focused’ thinker who is able to evaluate existing systems, frameworks, policies and procedures and strategically road map a streamlined approach that delivers business efficiencies incorporating a modern lens of the current financial climate across regulatory compliance. You’re determined, process driven and have impeccable attention to detail but above all you pride yourself on having exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills and love to engage and influence your ideas and processes across the business ensuring true value ad.
•You will be tertiary qualified in a legal or financial services discipline
•Strong experience in policy drafting, preferably within the financial services sector.
•Experience working in the financial services industry and/or experience in internal or external audit, risk and compliance
•Broad understanding of regulatory obligations applying to the financial services sector.
•You have strong communication, influential and stakeholder engagement skills
