Now with more than 16,000 police and their families banking with us, we continue to ensure we offer members a real alternative to the big banks with great value across our loans and deposit products.
BankVic was formed in 1974 by Police Officers for Police and their families, ensuring they could get a fair deal on home loans.
Now 40 years on, we have funded over 84,000 home and investment loans to members. We’re a member owned bank, which means our profits are reinvested so that our members benefit with great value across our range of products. Our priority is to provide our members with competitive rates, low fees and exceptional personalised service. We understand our members work hard serving our community and that’s why we work hard to look after their financial wellbeing and security.
Don’t just take our word for it – listen to what our members say about us:
We work closely with your Police Association, Police Welfare and Victoria Police Legacy to offer budgeting assistance, welfare support and financial education to our members.
We ensure that the wider police family is supported through ongoing financial support to causes and initiatives that contribute to improving the police community and their families, so they can prosper.
The Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance began in 2010 in commemoration of the service and sacrifice of our police members and as an opportunity for each state to raise much needed funds for their police charity organisation.
BankVic were proud to support the 2015 Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance as platinum sponsors and joined the Victorian riders for the journey to Canberra.
BankVic were a silver sponsor of Blue Ribbon Day on 29 September 2015. This was an important event for us to support, one that raises awareness and much needed funds so that Blue Ribbon foundation can continue its work building medical facilities in Victorian hospitals.
BankVic sponsored the 9th Australasian Women and Policing conference in Sydney on 31 August – 3 September 2015 and were proud to present the award for Most Outstanding Female Leader.
