Our agency arrangement with Western Union Business Solutions (Western Union) allows you to transfer funds to an overseas account or organise a foreign currency cheque.

Telegraphic transfer

A telegraphic transfer allows you to transfer funds to an overseas bank account. Account holders and authorised signatories can organise to have a telegraphic transfer sent overseas by contacting us. We’ll provide you with an exchange rate.

Prior to conducting an international telegraphic transfer, you’ll need to provide us with the following information:

  • IBAN (International Bank Account Number)
  • name of beneficiary
  • address of beneficiary
  • recipient’s bank address 
  • bank name 
  • sort code (Bank Identifier Number / BSB number)
  • swift code (Bank Identifier code)
  • account number

Fees and charges

Each telegraphic transfer incurs a charge in addition to the amount you’re sending, and can take anywhere between 48 hours and 10 working days to arrive depending on the country. Refer to our Fees & Charges PDS (PDF) for further information.

Drafts

A draft is a foreign currency cheque that allows you to post it anywhere in the world. Drafts can be issued in most countries and are payable at the counter of an overseas bank.

To organise a draft, please contact us. We’ll organise your draft in conjunction with Western Union.

Prior to requesting a draft, you’ll need to provide us with the following information:

  • name
  • payable to
  • address to send the draft to

Fees and charges

Each draft incurs a charge in addition to the amount you’re sending and will be delivered via Express Post within Australia. Refer to our Fees & Charges PDS (PDF) for further information.
