Make payments easily to various billing organisations and send money to other BankVic members or financial institutions.
We are a member of the BPAY Scheme, an electronic payments scheme through which you can request us to make payments on your behalf to organisations, or ‘billers’.
Because the BPAY facility is accessible online via online banking or by Rapid Response, you need to be aware of the inherent potential risks associated with any online or phone service. No one (including us) is able to offer a 100% guarantee that data transmitted over the internet is absolutely secure. We advise all online banking users to employ their own anti-virus and security measures to further help protect themselves against any unauthorised access to their transactions. It is also most important that you keep your online banking password confidential and remain watchful for any unauthorised transactions occurring on your account. This will help you to report the loss, theft or misuse of your password to us in a timely manner, and lessen the likelihood of being liable for all or part of any financial loss suffered.
With regard to our automated telephone banking facility, you need to be equally careful in ensuring your access code remains ‘known only to you’ – for all the same reasons listed above.
It is also important to be mindful that some phones have a memory ‘redial’ so where possible we recommend NOT USING such phones in hotels and other accommodation, to conduct your phone banking transactions.
Please note there’s an $5,000 transaction daily limit to external transfers – contact us if this is inconvenient and we can change this limit.
Here’s how you transfer money via internet banking.
1 Important note: Please check the account details you have entered – the account name cannot be verified by us prior to sending your funds. Incorrect information may result in funds being credited to the account of an unintended recipient if the BSB number and/or identifier do not belong to the named recipient, and loss of funds should they not reach the intended recipient. It may not be possible to recover your funds from an unintended recipient.
If you do make an error, please let us know and we will action a Mistaken Internet Payment request where we will contact the unintended recipient’s banker and request the payment be returned. Your online banking terms and conditions includes our obligations for these reports and the ePayments Code explains further.
Any advice is general, so it may not be right for you. Before acting on the advice you should consider whether the advice is appropriate for you. Before you make any decision to acquire the internet banking or BPAY you should obtain and consider the Non Cash Payment Services Product Disclosure Statement available from our website, any branch or by calling us on 13 63 73 Fees and charges may apply. Information on our terms and conditions and fees and charges is available on request or application.
