Media Release: BankVic announces retirement of Chair, appointment of new Chair and Directors

BankVic advises that John Mugavin, Chairman and Director of the Board, stepped down effective 24 November 2016 at the Annual General Meeting.
John Mugavin has served BankVic as the Chairman since 2013 and Director since 1998. John has been instrumental in driving the bank to the success we see today. BankVic is grateful for John’s passion and tremendous dedication over the last 18 years.
A new Chair, Wayne Taylor, was appointed on 29 November 2016. Wayne has served on the BankVic Board of Directors since 2009 and was Deputy Chair from 2012 through to 2014. He is a Victorian Police officer with over 40 years of service, holds an MBA, Master of Education, Graduate Diploma in Public Administration, and a Diploma of Training.
It was announced at the Annual General Meeting that Lucinda Nolan was elected and Steven Coulson was re-elected as Directors, effective 24 November 2016, following the recent Director elections.
We are grateful for the re-appointment of Steven Coulson who has served as a member of the BankVic Board of Directors since 2013.
BankVic are also delighted to welcome Lucinda Nolan to the BankVic Board of Directors. Lucinda’s qualifications include a Master of Arts, Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management, and Advanced Management Program (Harvard University). Lucinda was Deputy Commissioner with the Victorian Police and has spent 33 years working within the emergency services sector, including her most recent role as CEO of the Country Fire Authority. She has been recently appointed as the CEO of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
