BankVic was awarded the 2016 Mozo People’s Choice Award for banking.

The Mozo People’s Choice Awards recognise overall customer satisfaction based on real reviews. This year almost 20,000 Australians participated in the Mozo 2016 People’s Choice Awards by rating their financial institution on the Mozo website over the last 12 months. BankVic were amongst 10 banking institutions awarded from a total of 165.

“BankVic are delighted to win this award which recognises customer satisfaction across our banking products and service. Being rated favourably by members is very important to us. Our team work hard every day to ensure our members’ banking needs are met and we are proud to support our members who work tirelessly to serve and protect the Victorian Community.” Said Stephen Capello, BankVic CEO.

“This year we will continue to provide our members with banking value along with a service that is personalised and where our members come first. We know our members often work around the clock so we make banking easier for them. We offer fee free banking options and our team members travel to our members' work sites to make banking easier.” Stephen said.

BankVic was started in 1974 by police for police and now extends to health, emergency and public services. 42 years on in 2016 and BankVic have welcomed their 100,000th member. To celebrate reaching this milestone BankVic launched the inaugural ‘Nominate a Community Hero’ award, which encouraged members to nominate someone in the community who has gone above and beyond their daily lives and who displays acts of notable courage, bravery and generosity to help others and strengthen the community we live in.

“This award has highlighted some amazing stories and has been a great initiative where we can give back to our members and acknowledge and celebrate our every day community heroes. We look forward to awarding the winner of this award who will take home a $10,000 prize in July.” Stephen said.
