2015 Blue Ribbon Day

29 September 2015 marks Blue Ribbon day in Victoria, a public day of remembrance for police officers who were killed in the line of duty while serving the community.

BankVic are proud to support this important public event as a silver partner.

Blue Ribbon Day raises much needed funds to assist the Blue Ribbon Foundation to continue its work building emergency medical facilities in hospitals across Victoria named in memory of the fallen officers. Coinciding with the National Police Remembrance Day, the day helps to raise awareness and perpetuate the memory of police members killed in the line of duty.

This year’s Blue Ribbon Day will see the naming of a bridge on the Western Highway in memory of Senior Constable Tim Lewczuk as well as Police Remembrance services will be held around Melbourne and Regional Victoria.

BankVic look forward to attending some of this year’s events and we hope to see some of our members in attendance. For more details on the events, see 2015 National Police Remembrance Day Services (PDF).
