Board members

Members’ interests orientate BankVic’s strategic direction which is why our Board of Directors have been appointed by our members.

The role of the Board is to effectively guide the organisation into the future with strong financial performance, well-being and security, and to operate in an ethical and responsible manner so that we deliver a real alternative to profit-driven competitors.

The key responsibilities of the Board include:

  • improving organisational and operational performance
  • setting strategic directions and targets
  • monitoring the principal business and prudential risks
  • monitoring overall financial performance
  • ensuring business operations are undertaken in an honest and ethical manner
  • succession planning.

David Boell

David Boell

Deputy Chairman

David was elected to the Board in 2009, and elected as Deputy Chairman in November 2014. He has been a serving member of Victoria Police for 20 years, and holds a Bachelor of Business (majoring in marketing and management).

David is a member of the Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Remuneration committees.

Wayne Taylor

Director 

Wayne was elected to the Board in 2009, and was Deputy Chairman from 2012 - 2014. He is a Victoria Police officer with 32 years of service, holds a Master of Education, a Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and a Diploma of Training.

Wayne is a member of the Corporate Governance and Risk Management committees.

John Capewell

Director

John Capewell has been a member of Victoria Police for 30 years. He has been a Director since 1999 and was Deputy Chairman from 2003 - 2012.

John is the Chair of the Risk Management committee, and a member of the Audit committee. 

Marianne Luttick

Director

Marianne was elected to the Board in 2011. She started her career with Victoria Police in 2002 after 15 years of running her own accounting business. Marianne was promoted to Detective with the Crime Department in 2008.

Marianne is the Chair of the Corporate Governance committee, and a member of the Remuneration committee.

Adrian White

Director

Adrian was elected to the Board in 2011 and has been a member of Victoria Police for 32 years. Adrian’s police service has included deployments to the National Crime Authority and Australian Crime Commission and he holds a Graduate Certificate in Applied Management and Diploma of Workplace Training and Assessment Systems.

Adrian is the Chair of the Remuneration committee, and a member of the Audit committee. 

Steven John Coulson

Director

Steven was elected to the Board in 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting) and is a Certified Practising Accountant. He is a Director with the Commonwealth Government and a previous member of Victoria Police.   

Steven is the Chair of the Audit committee and a member of the Risk Management committee.
